Pace of Play
What is Pace of Play?
Pace of Play, considered one of the most important rules of golf etiquette, is the time it takes each group to complete a hole. Combined over 18 holes, it is the total amount of time it takes from your first tee shot on hole 1 to your last putt on hole 18.
At Tri-Mountain Golf Course the pace of play is 2 hours and 10 minutes per 9 holes. Golfers should complete an 18-hole round in 4 hours and 20 minutes.
Playing at a better pace is not about hurrying up or rushing around the course. It is simply about being ready to play and more efficient with your time, as well as everyone else’s. Adopting this mindset – and not being afraid to share it with your fellow players – will ultimately add enjoyment to your golf experience.
Good pace of play is a shared responsibility and increases everyone's enjoyment of the game.
